1/2loaf stale sourdough breadcut into small pieces
1/4 to 1/3cupolive oil
Seasonings of choiceI love using salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder, but dried herbs like thyme, rosemary, or Italian seasoning work great too!
Instructions
Oven Method:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Cut the sourdough bread into small, bite-sized pieces.
In a large mixing bowl, toss the bread pieces with olive oil and your chosen seasonings until evenly coated. You want the pieces to be evenly coated without any oil pooling at the bottom of the bowl.
Spread the coated bread pieces on a baking sheet in a single layer.
Bake for 15 minutes, tossing halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
Let cool completely before storing.
Air Fryer Method:
Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
Spread coated bread pieces in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
Air fry for 5-7 minutes, shaking the basket every couple minutes, until crispy and golden brown.
